Benalmádena pronounced Bennel - Madena is situated between Torremolinos and Torrequebrada, and is one of the most popular tourist beach-resorts on the Costa del Sol. The municipality is divided into three distinct parts, Benalmadena Pueblo, Benalmadena Costa and Arroyo de la Miel and is the birthplace of actor Antonio Banderas who often comes to visit the lovely Benalmádena port with his wife, Melanie Griffith. It is also reputed that George Michael owns a penthouse in the centre of the port.
